Hot springs soak and whales* all in one! The Whale Centre’s signature tour is on our 30ft covered boat “Hootla - Kootla.” The thermal springs are located 1.5 hours north of Tofino in Hot Springs Cove. Disembark at the dock and make a 20-minute trek on a cedar boardwalk through old growth rainforest to the mineral rich pools and cascading waterfall. This 6 – 7 hour tour is a day excursion for all ages! There are a number of other animals which may be seen on our tours: harbour seals, eagles, sea lions, porpoises, sea otters, puffins, murrelets, cormorants and more!

*whales are wild animals and seasonal therefore they are not guaranteed on the Hot Springs Tour.

• Bring packed lunch/water/beverages (no glass please).
• Bathing suit, towel, sunscreen & sunglasses.
• Please wear good walking shoes and water shoes for the springs (we sell Crocs at our gift shop).
• Fun and adventurous whale watching and wildlife viewing.
• Professional and experiences guides act as driver & naturalist.
• Bring your camera, video, binoculars.
• Private group tours are available.
• A $1 fee will be added to each whale watch fare in support of Strawberry Island Research to maintain the marine ecosystem in Clayoquot Sound.
• Please note BC Parks charges a $3 fee per person to enter the park. There is a collection box at the head of the trail to the springs. Please bring exact change.
• Reservations are recommended in the busy summer season.

*Reservations are recommended, especially during Spring Break, Holiday Weekends and July through September. We require a Visa or MasterCard number with expiry to hold your reservations, 24 hour cancellation policy. Check in 1/2 hour before departure.

*Whale Watching “Rain Cheques” are not issued on the Hot Springs Trips but if you don’t see whales on the way up we will look for them on the way home.
