Tofino has been buzzing with excitement this past week as we’ve had an extraordinary number of killer whale sightings on our tours! Guests aboard The Whale Centre’s boats have witnessed multiple transient orca groups moving through the area, offering breathtaking encounters with these apex predators.

An Unprecedented Week of Killer Whale Sightings

We’ve been fortunate to see transient killer whales in several locations, making this one of the most exciting weeks for orca enthusiasts. Sightings have included visits from different groups in:

  • Shelter Inlet

  • Tofino Inlet

  • Herbert Inlet

  • Tofino Harbour – right off our dock!

The sheer number of orcas and the frequency of sightings have made each tour a thrilling experience.
